Electric Nightlight Fragrance Lamps
These unique electric fragrance lamps are designed to fill the
area with a refreshing
aromatic scent. Unlike candle based oil warmers, you are in control.
Use the dimmer to adjust the halogen light to warm the oil a little or a lot,
depending on how much scent or light you want in the area.
These electric fragrance lamps can also serve as a nightlight, setting a
relaxing
mood with soft light and sweet smelling scents.
These electric fragrance lamps are very safe to use in the home.
Unlike candle
based oil warmers, there is no flame and unlike a candle, you can adjust
the heat level to be safe for the area.
These electric fragrance lamps require no assembly. To
use these electric fragrance lamps is no different
than traditional tealight oil warmers. To use, all you need to do is place
80% water and 20% oil onto the small glass plate on the top of the warmer,
plug it in and adjust the dimmer. Let the oil warmer cool, before adding
more oil or
water to the small glass plate.
In this application, it is very important to understand that
you must use water with the oils.
Pure oils could most definitely "burn or scorch" in the small glass plate.
The water acts as the "insulator" to help prevent the oil from overheating or
boiling.
It is still possible for the water and oil to "boil" if the fragrance lamp is turned up
too high.
Some splattering can occur if the water and oil is allowed to "boil". The
water will
heat up and evaporate, and will need to be replenished often.
A safer application would be to use our granulated waxes in
the small glass plate instead
of water and oil. The wax, when melted, has a heavier and thicker
viscosity than water,
and acts as a better "insulator". This application may still "boil" at
high heats, although not as likely.
The wax doesn't evaporate, so it will last longer and won't need to be
replenished like the water.
The wax will last longer than your scent. You can either discard the old
wax and start
with a new application of wax, or add a few drops of your favorite scented
fragrance oil
to the wax. That's what the granulated wax is, basically, just pure
fragrance
oil and a special blend of soy and paraffin granulated wax. This granulated wax has never been
heated to its
flash point,
so it maintains its natural viscosity. Thus the fragrance oils are easily
absorbed into the granulated
wax and stay in the wax until the heating process begins. This means your
granulated wax will
keep its original fragrance scent for a long time, as long as it has no heat
applied to it.
